Early May- November

We start walleye fishing in early May before most charters are even in the water.

The average size Lake Erie walleye is 2-5 lbs with fish in the 6-8 lb. range common.

We use a variety of methods to catch our limits, usually slow trolling with Dutch Fork Lures Crawler Harnesses and crankbaits. Early season walleye are shallow and we are close to shore fishing structure, either jigging or trolling. When the water warms we move slightly deeper to catch the fish. When fall time comes we can catch the fish jigging or trolling.

Usually starting in May, these elusive fish can be caught jigging or trolling a variety of baits including spoons, and crankbaits. Trolling trips we use downriggers and dipsy divers to get out lures in the strike zone for some great lake trout action. Every fishing day varies, but some days are simply exceptional with 20-30 fish not uncommon!

July- October

Summer months we catch steelhead, in deeper water fishing for walleye. Fall months Steelhead are staging in front of the streams and we are fishing shallow in front of creek mouths.

Trolling spoons and crankbaits for these feisty fish are the norm, you will usually see the fish jumping behind the boat, before you see the hit!, for some hard hitting fast paced action you have to catch one of these fish!
